As there is no longer any Aerospace Maintenance at Virginia Tech Montgomery Executive Airport, we have developed a system to allow mechanics to come on the airport to service aircraft.
Any person intending to provide aircraft repair and /or inspection services, other than owner-preventive maintenance as defined in FAR Part 43, as a part time business will be permitted to provide aircraft maintenance and inspection services without meeting the requirements of the Minimum Standards section 7 (a) Aircraft Maintenance and Repair, provided the prior approval of the Airport Director with the aircraft registration number and the conditions in the permit are met to his satisfaction.
